Dr. Gossom has been in practice on San Juan Island for over 30 years. He is currently the medical director of Islands Convalescent Center and adult family homes. Prior to his private practice with San Juan Healthcare, Dr. Gossom served as the San Juan County Emergency Medical Director. Throughout his three decades of practice in the San Juan community, Dr. Gossom has been instrumental in the development of health services such as the local hospice group, visiting nursing program, ferry medical priority system and medical evacuation system. Along with his wife, Cooky, they have raised their three children and been vital active members in the community. |

Dr. Miller joined San Juan Healthcare in 2005. Dr. Miller is bilingual, providing a vital link bringing healthcare services to our Spanish speaking community. His knowledge of sports medicine and love of soccer has made him a popular local school soccer coach. |

Dr. Fishaut is our staff Pediatrician, joining the practice in 2004. Dr. Fishaut provides general pediatric care from birth through age 18. Pediatric services include newborn care, well-child care, preventive medicine (including all routine immunizations, school physical examinations, adolescent medicine and the management of acute and chronic illness. Dr. Fishaut has an extensive background and special interest in behavioral, adolescent and sports medicine. |

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Leslie has a special interest in preventive health and women’s health issues. Upon joining the practice in 2007, Leslie quickly became involved in local community organizations. Her commitment to health care has extended beyond our community and is reflected in her volunteer work with a group providing medical aid to rural communities in Honduras. |

As a Certified Diabetes Educator, Joann has worked extensively within the community providing education to patients to support diabetes management, weight loss, cholesterol and special dietary issues. Joann was instrumental in San Juan Healthcare’s receipt of special grant funding through the Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration in support of Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease Management education and research. |
